Debushing Stella,Naledi Local Munipality.

Various stakeholders such as SAPS, Naledi Local Municipality, Youth in Crime Prevention, Community Policing Forum, Extended Public Works Programme (EPWP) and the Community in blue came in numbers to support the departmental program led by the Crime Prevention directorate.

Letsema - Debushing program was today, 09 September hard at work in Rekgaratlhile Location where Cllr Grace Gamma graced the event and welcomed all stakeholders. Cllr Gamma encouraged the Community of Rekgaratlhile to be united and to report any crime activities happening around their location and also be ambassadors of Anti Gender Based Violence.

Furthermore, the walkways (“footpaaitjies”) connecting Rekgaratlhile location and Stella town is full of tall trees, high bushes and grassy areas. Criminals are using these grassy walkways to rob people of their belongings and attempt to assault women and children. This is a matter of community concern in and around Stella.

The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management continues the Debushing-Letsema Campaigns to all North West districts as Anti Gender Based Violence programs unfolding in 2021
